Door Security Options
There are several types of front doors from single swing doors, double swing doors, single sliding and bi-parting sliding glass aluminum doors.
Door are the point of entry for your customers, unfortunately as well as the opportunistic criminals.
Lets look at some options
We are aware of the importance of that visible security when it comes to the public perception of a storefront image. Our gates are not obtrusive and they fold-away neatly during operating store hours. Continuity of our client’s storefront look and image is of paramount importance to us.
Door security gates are mounted inside of your business, this is to help provide that layered security we often speak about.
A swing door, single or double, can be secured with our regular unique tubular steel diamond pattern security gate with a fully wrapped locking post that protects the lock receiver against tampering. These door gates come with a cylinder lock on each side of the gate. (a local locksmith could help you key the gate and front door alike for 1 key entrance and exit).
Large sliding doors will require bi-parting gates. These gates we lock together with our double pin locking post (Youtube link). This is so that the gates get secured in the middle of the opening with 3 points of security. The bottom pin goes into the floor when locking up, and the upper pin is secured to an upper support, and the middle of the gate has the hook latch to secure everything together.
Our range of gates offer additional solutions, we have our full double diamond security gates for single or double swinging front doors. And partial double diamond gates to secure wide openings.
Why the double diamond pattern?
We use the double diamond pattern security gates when a thumb turn or ADA lever handle is required for key-less egress. The double diamond pattern restricts the hands from reaching the key-less deices. Door security gates should be open when there are people inside of your business. the key-less egress removes the need for a key to exit the building.
